Notes | - A date of about 1756 is attributed to this map as Fort William Henry's construction was ordered in 1755 and the fort was destroyed in 1757.
- "A Scale of Miles" is given at lower right where 10 miles is equal to 4 1/2 inches.
- With a lettered key (A-G) at lower right identifying locations of note including the "Canadian Encampment".
- With a decorative compass rose surmounted by a fleur de lys orienting north to the top of the map.
- Shows Fort William Henry and Fort Ticonderoga.
- Includes a note "Where Rogers carried his boats across".
- Shows the track of a possible road.

- Copy at Maps K.Top.121.22. is vound in a green-spined guard volume. With the manuscript addition in pencil of the pressmark "CXXI/22" and "Lake George" at lower left and a very small "24" at upper right. The verso displays the oval stamp of the British Museum in yellow at lower left and the manusript addition in ink of "America". Uk
