- Shows title in simple surround at lower right incorporating a lettered key (A-E) - A is the "Designed Pentagon" of the fort and B is the alternative design, "a Square which may be put on the Ground". Both are illustrated by means of a pastedown flap showing the square design with the pentagon design on the map beneath.

- Previous British Library cataloguing has suggested Charles Rivez as surveyor based on comparison with Add Ms 57,708.5. - Rivez was responsible for surveying the fort after its completion.
