Notes | - Shows the position of General Amhert's boats and rafts. Previous British Library cataloguing suggests they are depicted on the Saint Lawrence River. Alternatively, might the map show their situation on Lake George or Lake Champlain (his army of 11,000 men on rafts is referenced in his journals for July 21st 1759)?
- Shows "Halifax Sloop".
- Shows "rafts with canon", "Gen: Gage's light infantry" and names other officers.
- Copy at Add Ms 21,686.79. Bound in a volume. Manuscript addition of "80" in pencil at upper right. with "79" to verso. Red stamp of British Museum to verso. Shows "Pro Patria" watermark.
